Bronxville Bronxville Village, only 15 miles and less than 30 minutes by train from Grand Central Station, is a century-old community of craggy hills and gentle valleys nestled in a curve of the Bronx River. One may select from a variety of housing possibilities. Aside from its beautiful appearance and proximity to New York City, the great attraction of Bronxville is its public school system. The Bronxville School is a complete school district, kindergarten through twelfth grade, divided into elementary, middle and high schools and housed in connecting buildings on one campus; enrollment hovers around 1,100 students. The Bronxville School repeatedly wins national recognition for its excellence. The community values education and takes pride in providing a school with class sizes averaging fewer than 20 and graduating classes whose members nearly always go on to higher education.
