Westchester Real Estate, Inc. firmly believes in not just serving the many communities in our marketplace, but also in contributing what we can to make those communities stronger and better places to live. We volunteer our time, contribute financially, and support many worthwhile organizations collectively, independently and individually.
Here are just some of the organizations and events we have supported over the years:
Back-to-School Clothes for Kids – providing local kids in need with new school clothes, backpacks and school supplies so they can start off the school year with confidence and a focus on learning. Through 2014, Westchester Real Estate has helped to clothe over 400 local children.
The Bridge Fund of Westchester – helping working poor families overcome short-term crises, providing loans, grants, financial counseling & assistance to help them “bridge” the crisis and stay in their existing housing, or move to more affordable housing. Westchester Real Estate and its members have supported the Bridge Fund through various fundraiser events and direct contributions over a span of 20 years.
AmeriCares – an international organization with many missions, we have collaborated with them locally to help rehab a home for a senior family of modest means and severe medical issues.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – an annual walk to raise money that's invested in cutting-edge research, support services for those touched by breast cancer, and helping people take steps to reduce their risk or towards early detection.
Friends of Karen – headquartered in Westchester, this vital organization provides much-needed emotional, financial and advocacy support for children with a life-threatening illness and their families. Westchester Real Estate and its members have contributed by sponsoring families for the holidays and other essential donations.
Adopt-A-Dog – dedicated to saving, socializing, and securing loving homes for unwanted dogs & cats in the tri-state area and beyond for over 3 decades. We have volunteered and supported the group's annual “Puttin' on the Dog” fair.
Habitat for Humanity – we have volunteered with this affiliate of the international not-for-profit to build new, affordable homes here in Westchester.
